MECW TV Now ONLINE!

We have now uploaded all of the shows to the internet via Blip TV. Either check out our main page at MECWPRO.com or head on over to our Blip TV network at http://mecw.blip.tv. Please keep in mind that the shows online are only about a QUARTER of the quality that you see on TV, but due to size restrictions at Blip TV (at least for now) we had to do this in order to maintain their size regulations. Hopefully in the future Blip TV will correct these issues and we'll be able to bring you the shows in higher quality. Thanks and enjoy!

Being the geek that I am, I was wondering what limitations blip.tv imposes in terms of file size?

A max upload size of 1 gig...our TV shows in the highest quality run around 3.7 gigs which is WELL over the limit, so we have to sacrifice quite a bit of quality as you can tell, lol!

What codec restrictions are in place? The reason I ask is you would be far better off using xvid or x264 for the video compression then MPEG1. You will have a far better picture quality.

Handbrake is a great encoding app for x264. Current version does not support Xvid but if you grab an older version it will support xvid.

Also wondered when we can usually expect the episodes to be encoded and put up on blip.tv?
